Job Description : Dimensionalu2019s Trading team is responsible executing and managing trades across the firm. The team works to support the effective execution of Dimensionalu2019s investment strategy, and works with Portfolio Management to meet trading objectives. The Senior Trader is responsible for timely and accurate execution of equity, FX, and futures contract trades of all levels of complexity. The role will also assist in refining global trading systems and workflows. Additional responsibilities include communicating and educating clients regarding Dimensionalu2019s trading process and the overall trading environment. This position is based in our Charlotte office. Responsibilities: Execute and manage trades at all levels of liquidity, complexity and size; work with Portfolio Manager to ensure trading objectives are met. Develop and implement improvements in trading systems and work flow processes across trading offices. Work with other departments (Portfolio Management, Research, Technology, Legal and Compliance) to lead and implement cross-functional initiatives related to technology, compliance, work flow, and research. Provide formal or informal training, as well as guidance and direction, to more junior members of the Trading team in the execution of their duties. Monitor various aspects of operational and trading outcomes. Monitor settlement process and liaise with various offices on ad hoc issues. Provide support to internal client facing groups by meeting with clients and prospects in order to communicate about trading and responding to RFQ/RFIu2019s. Qualifications: Bacheloru2019s degree in business, economics, finance, or similar quantitative field is required. An MBA and/or advanced coursework in computer science, statistics, econometrics, or mathematics is preferred. 5 years of trading experience in a financial service industry. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to operate and prioritize in a fast-moving & demanding environment and deal with complex situations. Comprehensive knowledge of assigned asset class, trading characteristics and approaches, and the asset classu2019 market microstructure. Advanced knowledge of execution analytics, trading strategies, and risk management techniques. Advanced proficiency with Excel and large data sets is required and experience with SQL database and VBA programming is preferred. Proficient in using trading technology tools, including OMS (Charles River a plus), EMS (Instinet Newport a plus), data delivery platforms (Bloomberg/Reuters Eikon) and Trade Cost Analysis tools.
