JOB SUMMARY:

Performs plumbing related duties requiring a high degree of professional skill and technical knowledge. Maintains and repairs campus building domestic water, waste water, steam, fire protection and laboratory specialty systems. Ensures shop work is performed in compliance with applicable safety and code regulations. Ensures availability during unscheduled and callback hours as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Maintenance, Repair, Renovation and Construction: Performs maintenance, repair, renovation and construction of campus building domestic water, waste water, steam, fire protection and other plumbing related specialty systems such as chill water, building heating hot water, vacuum, compressed air and gas. Maintains and repairs hot water, chill water, condensate and recirculation pumps.

25% - Essential - Plumbing Management:
Unstops blockages in all types of plumbing fixtures and building drains connecting to the main sewage system.

10% - Essential - General Maintenance:
Performs Electrical, HVAC and building maintenance.

10% - Essential - High and Low Pressure Steam Maintenance:
Maintains and repairs high and low pressure steam traps, regulators and valves.

5% - Essential - Documentation and Safety: Reviews construction documents for Plumbing projects. Makes recommendations and comments on documents. Maintains a safe and clean work area. Updates records after completion of tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma and trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Associate's Degree - Construction or Industrial Maintenance
Licenses - Electrician - Master
Licenses - Plumber - Journeyman
Licenses - Building Contractor

Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal Work Exp 5 years

Standard Hrs: 40; Band: 04 ($ 26,988.00 - $ 49,932.00)
