Senior Equity Risk Manager – Counterparty Credit Risk

Risk Management protects the Firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties.
Credit Risk Management (CRM) evaluates credit risk transactions; assigns Internal Credit Ratings; establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board; monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Risk Officer and Firm Risk Management. CRM also interacts with business units to ensure that credit risk assessments are factored into business decisions.
Background on the Position
The Counterparty Credit Risk team is looking to hire a senior product risk manager to oversee the global Institutional Equities Division and will report to the Head of Counterparty Stress Testing & Portfolio Management & Equities Product Coverage.
The role will include the Credit Risk oversight of the following products:
OTC Equity derivatives
Equity Margin Lending
Electronic Equity Trading
The responsibilities will also include analysis and active risk management of the respective portfolios, approval of trade requests, as well as new products approval. A key aspect of the position will be the on-going dialogue with the relevant business units and their management, along with the global credit community, as well as managing and directing existing product coverage officers.
Bachelors or Master's degree (preferred) with 10 years of work experience in risk management
In-depth knowledge of Equity cash and derivative products
Strong analytical skills
Portfolio risk management experience
Experience and knowledge of US regulatory rules and guidance
Strong credit analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Demonstrable track record of managing multiple issues simultaneous and working under pressure
Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
Strong in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
