JOB SUMMARY: Works with Customer Support Manager and Building Security Coordinator along with routine building walk inspection to address day to day issues. Determines if corrective work needs more attention from more skilled crafts and notifies supervisor if needed. Subject to callback and unscheduled work hours as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES: 25% - Essential - Carpentry: Reattaches loose or missing cove base, repairs damaged or missing VCT, LVT, and laminate flooring. Repairs minor door issues like bump stops, door closures, weather stripping, thresholds, and loose door handles. Replaces damaged or stained ceiling tile, and repairs minor damages in drop ceiling grid. 25% - Essential - Painting: Repairs minor sheet rock issues(i.e. holes from door knob, pictures, TV mounts, etc.). Repaints repaired areas, and paints high wear areas like door casings. 25% - Essential - Electrical: Changes bulbs, ballast, and light lens on lighting. Replaces damaged receptacles, switches, and damaged covers. Assists area employees as needed. 15% - Essential - Cleaning: Cleans high wear areas like door casings, hand rails, and other areas as needed. Cleans areas that custodial cannot clean, (i.e. high stairwell windows, high ceilings, etc.). Pressure wash as needed. 10% - Essential - Safety: Complies with all applicable OSHA safety mandates and Clemson's Lock Out\/Tag Out program. Adheres to EPA and DHEC rules. Promotes positive and productive relationships within and between other shops. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
