Assist the Trade Compliance team with recordkeeping and database administration in accordance with the U.S. Dept. of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Also assist with the enforcement of U.S. Government and Company import/export compliance and security regulations. Services to include: \u2022 Maintain status checks of cases in process and provide status updates to program personnel. \u2022 Assist with required record keeping, to include maintenance of the Export Compliance Database. \u2022 Catch up existing backlog of unfiled shipping documentation and decrement the applicable licenses. \u2022 Populate Export Compliance Database with historical license and shipping documentation. \u2022 Review incoming and outgoing shipping documentation for correct license information and Customs invoice requirements; assign Schedule B or Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes as required. \u2022 Assist the team with periodic internal audits of shipping/receiving records and program export records and logs. \u2022 Coordinate the license and agreements execution process and send executed agreements to the Department of State. \u2022 Be able to enforce EFW security and compliance regulations on a day-to-day basis.
Candidates for an Intern position must be a full time student pursuing a Bachelors or an advanced degree and must be able to work at least 20 hours or more a week.
