DescriptionThe Senior Trust Operations Trade Settlement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring trade activity within client portfolios is processed in a timely and accurate manner.  Activities are accomplished by reviewing reports from the unit’s custodian bank, or other Private Wealth resources, and ensuring client accounts are properly updated on the department’s Trust Accounting system. Other duties include asset data verification and the review of pricing exceptions.  Additional responsibilities may include learning the unit’s corporate actions and free delivery/receipt processes, in order to increase coverage within the department.  The candidate must be detail-oriented, work with a high degree of accuracy and possess research and problem resolution skills.  He/She must also be capable of managing tasks with established deadlines and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.  Other responsibilities such as reporting, reconciliations, filing and ad-hoc management requests can be expected as well.Primary responsibilities include:Daily review of domestic and global trading activity to ensure timely and accurate settlementResearch and resolve trade discrepancies and make any necessary adjustments to customer accountsCommunicate with trading desk or third party investment manager to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure.  Failed trade reporting and resolutionHandle discrepancies and customer inquiries in an accurate and timely mannerPrepare client materials in an accurate, complete and professional mannerVerify the descriptive information of new securities added to the unit’s accounting systeProvide coverage for other operational staff during peak times and vacationQualificationsRequired Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree2 years securities operations experienceStrong research and problem solving skillsAbility to identify issues and drive for resolutionUnderstanding of the importance of data accuracy and attention to detailStrong organizational, time management and prioritization skillsAbility to perform responsibilities accurately and independently in a fast-paced multi-task environmentFlexible team playerStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills - Excel, Word, Access, etcPreferred Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or AccountingEducation, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:Bachelor’s degree2 years securities operations experienceKey Success FactorsKnowledge, skills & abilities that typically lead to success in the job include:Will be included only on templates if we have it Hours & Work ScheduleHours per Week:  40Work Schedule:  8:30am to 5pmWhy Work with UsAt Citizens, you’ll find a customer-centric culture built around helping our customers and giving back to our local communities.
