Within the Products Trading businesses, the Sr. Commercial Analyst is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and entering Products trading activities (deal entry), and verifying the resultant exposures, risks and financial results. The position manages and confirms cost provisions, losses, regrades and fees associated with the physical movement of product from origin to inventory or final sale destinations.

The successful applicant will be competent in usage of IT technology and systems, identify, report and where needed resolve data or system discrepancies, identify process change opportunities, and provide timely and accurate analysis in support of commercial opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a willingness to take on additional projects outside of specific role, collaborate across desks and functions in the End to End transaction flow, and be able to cover roles both within desk and on other desks when needed.

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership attributes to motivate, coach and develop others through knowledge sharing, problem resolution, and ensuring compliance (SOX, Dodd-Frank etc).

Dimensions

This is an individual contributor role interacting with Commercial teams, Operations Support, Risk Controls, Settlement and Finance. Self-Starter with passion for the business and commercial drive. The role is in the STUSCO Products LPG/Chemfeed business unit.

The successful candidate must be able to incorporate information availability from the new Qlikview reporting platform into the job function and identify opportunities to add value through that tool.

Requirements:

Must have legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.

Candidate will be highly commercial and creative thinker with background in Trading analysis

Candidate will have aptitude for investigative project work with ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the end to end transaction chain. Specific knowledge of back office processes is highly desired.

Candidate must possess a combination of analytical skills and curiosity, recognize and address ambiguity, support monthly close cycles, and apply persistence with IT system and data issues. Knowledge of programming, BI or workflow tools would be an asset.

Candidate must possess resiliency, capacity to multi-task between daily cycle of tasks on desk, working under tight deadlines, conflicting pressures, and therefore be able to prioritize workload with willingness to go above and beyond when necessary.

Candidate must have well developed inter-personal skills, able to collaborate with and influence others across the organization to deliver successful outcomes consistent with stakeholder expectations. Ability to work between subject experts business, IT, data management to harness all the skills and maximize the collaboration within the team.

Candidate must exhibit initiative and motivation to complete job functions adhering to highest standards of excellence, with clear focus on outcomes and bottom line.
