The Associate Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise and the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise National Accounts with the development and timely implementation of on-premise programming on behalf of the Constellation portfolio. This individual will report directly to the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise National Accounts. They will work closely to support the National Sales Organization, local on-premise teams and the respective Brand and Retail teams to align all programming to specific brand strategies, retail strategies in accordance with the respective budgets. The Associate Trade Marketing Manager will also be responsible for helping to identify opportunities within the on-premise.
Support the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise, in conjunction with the on-premise field sales team and Field Marketing Directors to provide consolidated insight and direction for the on-premise channel in each Business Unit as it pertains to Geo-Marketing programming. This includes: recommendation of Sales/Marketing objectives; identification and creative development of on-premise resources; assisting in the direction of agency services and production, shipping and allocation of promotional materials to support programming.
Support the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise National Accounts, in conjunction with the On-Premise National Sales Organization, in researching and executing strategic retail partnership program opportunities for the national on-premise chains. This includes: helping make recommendations for Sales/Marketing objectives in support of the strategy set forth by the Trade Marketing Manager On-Premise National Accounts; creative development and deployment of promotional graphics in alignment with individual brand strategies and objectives; coordinating agency services and production, shipping and allocation of promotional materials to support programming.
Assist in the annual strategic planning process, helps align internal Marketing teams, Consumer/Shopper insights, Sales and agency efforts in the delivery of planning presentations and tools to the Constellation organization and wholesaler network for annual business planning and POS ordering processes as it relates to on-premise programming.
Assist with National Accounts and Geo Marketing budgets with the allocation of the line item budget for expenditures associated with on-premise promotional development and production, tracks monthly forecasts and accruals, in accordance with approved budget and sign-off parameters. Analyzes and reports on return on investment with sales volume growth tied to programming.
This individual will lead the on-premise analytics across all channels. Will work closely with the On-Premise Business Unit and the Trade Marketing Managers to develop.
Work with their Trade Marketing Manager on the development of interdepartmental communications in the form of monthly management reports, marketing previews and program evaluations.
Work closely with the Trade Marketing Managers, the Brand Teams and Merchandising Manager in the identification of permanent and non-permanent POS flow materials specific to the relevant on-premise account segments focused on the brand’s development.
Individual works closely with administrative support to maintain achievement of purchase order input and approvals, receipt of invoices and budget tracking.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as determined by management.
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of experience in field sales, promotional marketing or agency capacities working with a CPG organization
Must demonstrate marketing skills that would enable working with agencies in the design, production, and distribution of promotional programs with emphasis at the consumer retail level and experience in translating sales goals to programming with high return on investment
Must be experienced and be able to demonstrate proficient skills using software packages to include Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop and advanced skills in Excel and or their equivalents; Must be able to adapt to additional software programs as needed
Highly developed interpersonal skills are necessary; requires excellent written and oral skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization; must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with both internal and external customers; must be able to work independently and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues
Highly developed “attention to detail” skills are a must
Must take the initiative to learn and acquire new skills and abilities and improve upon existing systems and programs
Must have a passion for the beer industry with a concentration in activation at retail across all channels. Understands the needs of field sales, wholesalers and retailer management and the requirements to sell-in successful programming
Works well in a fast-paced, action-oriented team where priorities change and time frames are critical
Bachelor's degree in Marketing
Beverage/alcohol industry experience working with a three tier distribution system
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods
