Trades / Utilities Master Mech (carpenter)
Provide master mechanic carpentry, structural maintenance, and repair as well as incidental support for plumbing and electrical repairs for all facilities.
High School graduate or equivalent. Valid Drivers License. Substantial carpentry experience with experience in plumbing and electrical repairs. Must have considerable knowledge in the practices, methods, materials, and tools of the carpentry trade. Some knowledge in the practices, methods, materials, and tools of the electrical and plumbing trades. Ability to perform general carpentry work in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding, concrete forms, wood fixtures, and furniture. Ability to interpret construction specifications and drawings and conduct research using vendor submittals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, decide on means and methods of task accomplishment on work orders with general guidance by supervisor; determines materials and parts required to complete tasks; orders parts from storeroom; and coordinate schedules and appointments with customers.
Basic computer skills.
