Description The Manager, Reefer Pricing \u2013 Americas will assist in establishing, developing and managing both medium and long term marketing strategies, establish Reefer Trade marketing and pricing policies for the FLOs in North America and Latin America, identify new markets and opportunities, and maintain APL\u2019s competitiveness in the global reefer market. The incumbent will also develop and maintain a process in gathering and dissemination of reefer market intelligence. Accountabilities This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Manage Pricing Team and set team\/department objectives. This includes goal monitoring of KPIs, allocate the team workload, ensure work accuracy, conduct daily \/ weekly meetings with Reefer Trade Analysts to include coaching and goal-setting as necessary. Build a succession bench. Attend and represent SCT at various meetings, internal APL as well as customer functions. Participate and lead weekly conference calls with NAM Reefer Sales, Mexico Sales, Central America Sales, and South America Sales. Identify and assist in determining strategy and pricing policy for outbound reefer market opportunities from the Americas to Asia and Europe as well North-South within the Americas. Sub-trades: TPWR, TAER, DUER, DUWR, LTNR, LTSR, LTUR, LTIR and TMWR. Monitor and maintain global reefer market competitiveness to ensure full utilization of all subscribed reefer slots and gain maximum contribution for the Americas. Maintain & grow Market Share in all Americas sub-trades and work with the Sales teams in order to capture the highest revenue cargo at best contribution margin. Assist the Reefer Director in establishing and executing marketing strategies for the Americas Maintain open dialogue with colleagues in Asia and Europe, in order to maximize equipment for round trip economics at highest revenue return. Responsible for over-sight of VIP reconciliation and refund payments. Responsible for waivers with finance, research rate problems and offer resolution. Work with the Legal Department regarding customer specific boiler plate language.
