Req #: 180046068Location: Newark, DE, USJob Category: OperationsPotential Referral Amount: 0 US Dollar (USD)Primary Responsibilities* Complete Servicer Oversight reviews on our current population of mortgage servicers as part of a team or individually. Reviews will encompass numerous aspects of mortgage servicing functions where thorough, detailed analysis is required to ensure compliance with various laws, acts and guidelines mandated by various regulatory bodies, including but not limited to RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, FCRA.* Make independent, accurate, decisions to ensure finding in reviews are appropriately completed, documented and presented to the Mortgage Servicer Oversight Forum, which is comprised of Business Executives, Risk Officers and Transaction Managers.* Work with internal resources and service providers to rectify and resolve findings that have been recorded during oversight reviews per the direction of the MSO Forum.* Work with the other Servicer Oversight team members/departments within JPM to complete work on Collections Litigation (foreclosure, bankruptcy and REO), FDPA, SCRA reviews and review and reconcile REO Holdings Inventory to assist the Legal Dept. with regulatory reporting to OCC and FRB around agings and valuations.* Aggressively pursue outstanding documentation with service providers, escalate aged items to management and business owners as appropriate.* Develop ad-hoc reporting to management specifications.* Assist Risk, Product and Financial Control groups with internal/external audits.* Craft written procedures and be a training resource for the Mortgage Servicer Oversight team.* Appropriately process, reconcile, and record documentation received from the mortgage servicers during the review period.* Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork, be punctual, dependable and adhere to company policies and procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience RequiredExperience* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in financial services industry. Preferred emphasis in mortgage servicing with a background in Control/Risk functions.* Previous regulatory review and reporting experience preferred.* MS Office suite experience. Skills & Knowledge* Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required.* Ability to professionally and articulately communicate with servicers without supervisor involvement* Possess a high level of reading and comprehension and analytical skills.* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external parties.* Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information.* Audit skills including meticulous attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines/under pressure. Additional Qualifications*Business Execution - Prior Mortgage Servicer Collections Litigation (REO, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy) experience preferred; Knowledge of legal processes related to litigation preferred; Excellent verbal and written communications skills; Ability to collaborate with and influence various stakeholders. Client & Customer Focus - Analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to identify trends and improve processes for both the customer and the business. Risk & Controls - Understanding of regulatory/legal landscape related to collections litigation (REO, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy); demonstrated accountability for work processes and the associated risks and controls; demonstrated ability to raise issues to relevant stakeholders or management with respect to the control environment.
