Your tasks and responsibilities\r \r \r \r As a Trade Compliance Specialist, this role will manage the U.S. import post entry reviews and audit entry documentation in adherence to regulations and timely filing for U.S. Customs.\r\rResponsibilities include:\r•Act as the primary liaison between the company and its customs brokers including the management of periodic reports and analysis and confirmation of receipt of records.\r•Ability to master and perform back-up responsibilities for the following: 1) Issuance of NAFTA (and other free trade agreement) Certificates of Origin in compliance with applicable regulations, including the coordination of all files and certificates; 2) Execution of the transactional monitoring, review and release of shipments blocked due to compliance reasons e.g. Denied Parties, Export Control purposes. 3) Draft preliminary communications to respond to U.S. Government agencies for U.S. import compliance; Management of data input and reporting in the 3rd party C-TPAT database.\r•Prepare periodic compliance reports using the automated commercial environment (ACE) for compliance reviews, business analysis and timely payments for duties and taxes to U.S. Customs. \r•Compile related import and export documentation to support duty drawback processing and claims to U.S. Customs.\r•Support compliance transactional exceptions and internal customer related requests for import matters.\r•Responsible on a day-to-day basis for identifying and communicating compliance complaints with brokers utilizing the P4U (Procurement) tool to identify, document and resolve.\r•Facilitate the Country of Origin marking reviews across receiving sites to confirm compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. \r•Document and sustain desk level procedures for trade and import compliance job requirements.\r•Develop, maintain and conduct internal training programs (computer based and face to face) related to Incoterms Guidance and PGS screening and block review.\r•Accountable for the timely preparation and filing of specified duty drawback claims in compliance with the U.S. Customs Regulations. This responsibility will be shared with the Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist I and II.\r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r \r\r\r\r \r\r\r\r\r\rWho you are\r Minimum Requirements:\rBachelors degree and 5 years of experience in international logistics and/or international trade compliance.\rKnowledge in importing with U.S. Customs and other government agency regulatory clearances along with common knowledge of compliance requirements\r\rEssential Skills:\rMust take responsibility for decisions but know when to seek management and/or team involvement. Must possess strong organizational, quick thinking and problem solving skills and take initiative. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external customers, team skills, and computer application skills are a must. Must take direction straight forwardly.\rMust demonstrate ability to work in an international environment, building professional relationships with foreign entities and personnel.\rMust exercise flexibility in adapting to new requirements, systems and process/controls.\rWorking knowledge of drafting procedures and implementation of such\rInterpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers\rMicrosoft Office proficiency\rTeam oriented\rMay require occasional travel: 10-20%\rSAP and/or SAP GTS transactional experience\rSupply chain and/or international trade compliance experience\r\r#LI-MM1\r#CB\r \r \r \r \r \r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r\r \r\r\r\r \r\r\r\r\r\r
