The primary functions of this position will be responsible for a dynamic trade and wine education team in our high-volume wineries. The Manager will be expected to lead the team and provide exceptional customer service, the best representation of our brand while hosting all internal trade guests, VIP\u2019s, and media guests at both Francis Ford Coppola and Virginia Dare Wineries. As well as set the example and expectations of exceptional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 75% Leadership & Operations: Manage the development and creation of current and new trade programs that are in line with the representation of our brand, story and wines. Provide leadership and an effective support structure to maximize the potential of the wholesale business through trade visits and events highlighting the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Virginia Dare Winery and Great Women\u2019s Spirits portfolios. Ensure that The Family Coppola culture flows through all trade trainings and experiences. Manage the trade, partnership and industry related requests from the Sales and Marketing and Executive teams by having an overall understanding of the daily operations to what will best benefit the guests visiting to have ultimate success in the marketplace. Prepares all trade training presentations, in conjunction with the other stakeholders, including the Hospitality Training and Development Manager, for new hires and all hospitality departments at Francis Ford Coppola and Virginia Dare Wineries and key members of the Sales and Marketing teams. Motivate and manage the activities of the Trade Hosts and Ambassadors by setting a good example of behavior and performance to assure the quality and content of trade visits and experiences. Regularly evaluate all aspects of trade visits to find where the current trade program needs room for improvement and additions. Report all monthly trade statistics and trends to the management and executive teams for DTC and Sales and Marketing. Work with department and divisional leaders ensure all trade events and visits at the wineries are in line with the standards established by each department to reinforce our brand messaging. Document all performance accomplishments and challenges with appropriate positive or constructive feedback. Provide both Francis Ford Coppola and Virginia Dare Wineries Front of the house management with upcoming trade schedules to keep accountability for all of our trade visits and events. Coordinate and work with web team and IT department to develop and develop and manager trade portal and applicable databases. Oversee the day-to-day operations of Trade; including tastings, tours, experiences and events. 25% Administration: Coordinate all aspects of Trade Guest visits at Francis Ford Coppola and Virginia Dare Wineries, including, but not limited to dining reservations, private events, overnight lodging, private tours and experiences, private tasting experiences, culinary experiences, and pool and park reservations. Create and maintain all required database and reporting for all trade, media and marketing visits. Primary point of contact between both Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Virginia Dare Winery with the Wholesale team, Marketing team and senior management and executive teams. Maintain timely communications with Sales Representatives, Division Vice Presidents, Wholesale President, Director of Public Relations, and VP of Sales Operations Analytics as they relate to Trade visitors. Send weekly restaurant spending reports to VP of Sales Operations and Analytics. Coordinate monthly marketing tastings with Director of Public Relations. Create and manage monthly hospitality newsletter to entire wholesale team. Manage and process all donation visits. Manage and create all internal and VIP visits. Manage and coordinate all suite guests and visits. Research the trade guest\u2019s business or account before the guests visit, to ensure the experience received by the guest is aligned with what the Sales Rep requested. Coordinate, order, charge and account for all gifts and wine requested for trade guests during their visits. Coordinate and charge all Sales Reps for pool and park costs. Record and deliver all records of pool and park costs back to sales team. Create and maintain all stationary given to trade guests. This includes but not limited to, complimentary tasting cards, thank you cards and special occasion cards that are requested from our Sales Team. Supervisory Responsibilities: Trade Ambassadors and shared oversite of TR department Trade Hosts Job Requirements: Education\/Experience: BA or BS degree (preferably in business or marketing), from college or university; or five years related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: \u00a0 Wine knowledge and passion for wine. Strong sales background. Warm, personable demeanor. Flexible and a team player. Customer Service focused with a sincere desire to create a memorable guest experience. Self-motivated and professional with the ability to multi-task. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Excellent communication skills. Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented. Computer proficiency in basic database management, MS Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Internet, RMS. Weekends, Holidays and some evenings required.
