Job Description:
Manage Short Term Trading positions in the East Power Grid (PJM, MISO, AD hub etc)
Typical markets, Balance of the day, Next day, Next week, Balance of the Month and Next month
Manage on and off-peak positions
Includes DA/RT exposure, pricing customer business.
Understanding of Natural Gas Basis markets and Heat Rates
Constant monitoring of the weather markets and understanding of the seasonal weather patterns
Aggressive, Risk-taking individual
Self-Starter with a high degree of self-confidence.
Dimensions :
Position requires a confident individual that will be responsible for $3.0 to $5.0 million each year in speculative trading
Requires working closely with sales groups, STRM, and co-workers
Candidate needs to be able to adjust to volatile market conditions and be able to adjust portfolio exposure as needed.
Stressful environment and requires 24-hour attention during peak seasonal times.
