Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
Equity Middle Office is primarily responsible for the daily support of the ETF and Cash Equity trading desks. Among the responsibilities of this role, this candidate will be required to monitor trading activity and be able to resolve inter-system issues, trades processing issues and position breaks. As part of the daily control framework of the role, this resource will be required to identify trade capture and risk discrepancies issues and be able to present issues to the trading desk for resolution. This role is also responsible for basic portfolio maintenance relating to corporate actions, amendments and CnC’s, as well as analysis of settlement fails resolution. The candidate must be able to navigate and work closely with various support functions, including: Trading, Sales, Operations, Finance and Compliance. The candidate will also need to work with various business management functions and project management groups when needed. This resource will be expected to participate in the ongoing assessments of existing processes and controls in order to identify gaps for enhancements. Resource will be required to work with MO/Operations management to drive change and increase efficiencies across the control framework for Equity Finance. The resource will also be expected to deliver on ad hoc requests while maintaining strong quality of work for the Equity Finance Desk.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
3 years of capital markets industry experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Cash Equity trade capture support experience
Trades processing and operational workflow experience
Understanding of the front to back control framework for derivative products
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver results under strict time constraints.
