Background:
Deloitte has launched a new social innovation organization called the Deloitte Health Equity Institute (DHEI). DHEI is a data-driven pro bono services, philanthropic, and knowledge development hub within Deloitte's Center for Health Solutions. DHEI draws on Deloitte's array of capabilities to activate health equity across the United States, helping to realize our firm's Purpose by moving the field for public good and advancing equitable health outcomes at scale.
To achieve our aspiration, DHEI is focused on addressing three root causes that prevent equitable health outcomes: 1) Racism and bias inside and outside the health care system, 2) Deep inequities in non-medical Drivers of Health, and 3) Structural flaws in the health system. To drive change across the three root causes, DHEI is focused on activating key decision makers to accelerate change, strengthening local ecosystems to advance equitable communities, and driving health equity innovation and learning across the US.
Position:
The Health Equity Institute Senior Manager serves as the leader to health equity program and community partners, specifically applying Deloitte's expertise and convening power to foster new partnerships and maintain relationships with existing partners, while acting as the champion for health equity analytics and insights as a strategic discipline within the institute to drive community impact
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage third party partnerships team, guiding the development of clear hypotheses, actionable strategic and operational insights, and creation of deliverables to extend our impact
Drive DHEI's long-term external collaboration / ecosystem strategy to intentionally engage the public, private and social sectors in key geographies
Ensure DHEI's programs are reaching the intended audience, fulfilling the vision and driving impact
Partner across Deloitte to secure and manage funding for pro bono engagements, partnerships, and insight generation
Actively engage and manage internal stakeholders across the firm to promote buy in
Closely collaborate and provide direction to DHEI Marketing Manager to drive internal and external awareness of DHEI progress and impact
Oversee measurement and reporting of partnership outcomes, quantifying the impact made
Manage pro bono pipeline, ensuring resources and funding to support
Drive collaboration across the institute's teams and with other stakeholder groups
Collaborate with DHEI Chief of Staff to manage the Institute's full-time human resource needs including staffing for pro bono projects, talent management, etc.
Collaborate with DHEI Chief of Staff to provide coaching and oversee the professional development of team members
This role is evolving, and opportunities to expand responsibilities and take on more challenging tasks will be readily available. A high degree of flexibility and ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities are required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience, either functioning in a Consulting environment or managing teams in an Operating environment. In either scenario, experience focused on public health, health care systems / plans, community partnerships, life sciences and DEI
Track record of high performance; consultative and strategic mindset; ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances and complex structures
Commitment to bring an active anti-racist perspective and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) lens
Deep understanding of health equity, social determinants of health and other social sector issues
Experience working with senior executives crafting and implementing strategies for growth and impact
Strong analytical, research and project management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize activities and manage to aggressive deliverable due dates and workplan
Proven leadership and teaming skills
Bachelors degree required
Must be legally authorized to working in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
