Scan Based Trading Analyst
The Scan Based Trading (SBT) Analyst is responsible for modeling demand, planning replenishment, and managing inventories with a customer-focus in our integrated and extended supply chain, with emphasis on managing baseline forecasts on all items. These activities require frequent communication with outside sales, production/ purchasing, and the customer. The successful execution of the role has a direct effect on the company’s sales volume/profitability as well as the customer’s sales volume/profitability. The successful candidate is responsible for driving productivity initiatives and delivering cost and service improvements in partnership with our Supply Chain and Field Sales teams. Minimal travel required.
**SBT Inventory Analyst Responsibilities**:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer’s SKU portfolio, seasonality, warehouse/store sales characteristics and document as part of customer profile. Utilize data to generate higher SKU productivity and optimal inventory levels. Analyze 852 data to review and adjust/create forecasts based on historical data and/or comparative SKUs to generate accurate orders within short lead time. Apply analytical techniques and leverage supply chain modeling technology to develop tactical demand and replenishment plan for the customer. Analyze key trends in order history in the context of the customer’s supply chain processes to proactively identify and propose improvement. Prepare reports to be shared with both the customer and internal departments as part of daily/weekly/monthly communication. Deliver effective communication by serving as the centralized point of contact between customer, operations, production, sales, etc. Maintain positive relations and manage quality of service by resolving or communicating issues such as; product shortages, order delays, incorrect shipments and order/product refusals
**Productivity & Process Improvement**:
- Utilizing SYSPRO ERP and other tools to identify opportunities to innovate, improve service, and reduce cost. Analyze opportunities, develop recommendations, and implement process improvements that deliver results. Drive cross functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer and Outside Sales to achieve supply chain efficiencies. Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation. Develop and maintain training content; plans and provides training to new hires. Maintain master data supporting the customer order to deliver processes.
**Education and Experience**:
- Planning experience required- Experience with ERP software with an emphasis on the utilization of MRP (SYSPRO preferred)- Experience with Lean, Kanban, JIT inventory, and 5S desired

- Ability to forecast at SKU and pack group level. Interact with all levels of the business and deliver results in a fast-paced environment- Ability to apply a disciplined, logical and comprehensive approach to problem solving- High degree of initiative and ownership- Strong attention to detail for both accuracy and content- Judgment to resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency including after standard business hours support- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism while under pressure- Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
