Structured Events Support team is part of Product Control Middle Office within CIB. The team is mainly in charge to record in MO systems any events (coupon, early termination, expiry, Market Disruption Events, etc.) through the lifecycle of Equities Structured products. The team assists on a daily basis both flows and structured products trading desks for index and stocks.
Monitoring of Operational Risk:
Providing proper FO Support for Structured Products
Operational risk and risk of fraud set at a minimum by having in place consistent and adequate controls
Orus: signoff completed daily with full disclosure of detailed reports checked, issues faced and risk accurately assessed.
Improve existing processes with overall STP flow and ensure highest quality of booking
Issues identified and timely escalated to his/her direct management, FO management and Permanent Control team.
Guarantee accurate trading positions in FO systems
Comparing positions between FO, MO and BO.
Daily goal is to correct all discrepancies originated by system bugs, input mistakes, information loss
To ensure/guarantee the payoff in the Front-Office systems
To ensure all the reconciliation are performed in timely manner and every breaks are resolved (fixings and barriers management)
Guarantee Up to date Middle Office Databases
Includes calculation of expiry of products/ coupon/ early termination, amendments of deals characteristics.
Includes Corporate Action Management. Processes in MO system to be in line with market and communicates with FO
To promote an efficient dialog/discussion between the Front office and the Back-Office
The Trade Support must promote an efficient dialog/discussion between the Front-Office and the Back-Office by knowing how to manage priorities with aim to escalate relevant/pertinent information.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
Strong academic background required
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong desire to learn the processes and products
Strong interpersonal and communication skills a must
Flexibility to adapt to a new and changing environment
Strong sense of risk and critical thinking
Rigorous and very organized
Maintains high quality of customer service
Ability to effectively listen and communicate
Display good relationship qualities, team spirit, and ability to work across teams
Strong qualification level in equity derivative markets. Financial market knowledge of derivatives products including.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Strong Excel/PC skills with proven ability to work with multiple systems
Previous experience (2 yrs. ) in a Derivative Middle office environment or prior experience in working with Trading/ Sales in a financial institution
