Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.
Macquarie's Credit Markets Division
is looking to hire a fundamental trading strategist to work on cross-asset trading opportunities focusing on corporate credit, equity and rates. This is an opportunity to join a small team focused on finding opportunities in the US credit and equity markets.
Collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative trading strategists, and the head of credit markets division to generate relative value and long/short trading ideas.
Participate in daily / weekly proprietary trading meetings. Provide frequent updates on important market and issuer events.
Work closely with securitized products and distressed claims traders to ensure consistent trading practices.
Participate in special projects and communicate opportunity and risk analysis to senior management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sell-side dealer community
Focus mainly on secondary market opportunities.
Work closely with independent risk management group on obtaining risk limit approvals and reporting.
Minimum undergraduate degree
Minimum 3-5 years in finance, including at least 3 years of experience in fundamental corporate equity/debt analysis
Demonstrated experience in constructing credit/equity vol/rates trades
Demonstrated ability to work in teams
Strong quantitative skills including proficiency with Excel, BBG, and data manipulation
