The purpose of the Trade Spend Manager role is to lead Sales team initiatives related to trade spend strategy and execution. This person will determine trade spend thresholds and develop and implement an authorization process for the Sales team to monitor trade spend.
Lead Sales team’s trade spend strategy initiatives.
Determine trade spend thresholds and implements authorization process.
Oversee Sales team’s contract management process and trade spend management software (Blacksmith).
Contributes to Sales team annual planning process and long-term forecasting.
Work closely with peers in Sales Finance, Sales Strategy and Sales Operations to develop pricing strategy.
Lead analyses across wide range of Sales functions.
Have supervisory responsibilities.
Have potential to supervise Analyst(s) within 6-12 months.
Bachelors degree in Finance or Economics.
Experience in Pricing or Trade Spend function.
4 years of experience within Sales, Finance, Strategy or Supply Chain.
Experience at Food or CPG compay.
Experience working in Blacksmith (is a plus).
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners across the Company.
Strong analytical and statistical skills, combined with the ability to clearly communicate the main takeaways to stakeholders from wide range of functions.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
The ability to be a self-starter who can define and execute projects with little guidance.
A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Structured thinking and communication.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize various work-stream.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
