Job Description

The GTC (Global Trade Compliance) Technical Product Owner possesses a unique blend of business and technical experience and the drive to make the GTC business organization goals a reality. They implement technical solutions aligned with the GTC vision and with a clear focus on compliance and end user needs. Working very closely with the GTC organization to define GTC product release requirements, they work with technology teams to help create and refine requirements and backlogs while forming mutual understanding across the development teams and stakeholders.

The GTC Technical Product Owner understands the GTC technical landscape and makes recommendations to address business requirements. They provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. They simultaneously lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues while leading projects by utilizing the best methodology for the situation.
- Research potential technical solutions by evaluating our GTC tools and provide options

- Be the go to person for questions about the architectural design of the GTC technical landscape

- Contributes to GTC technical vision and roadmap

- Utilize experience as a Project Manager to lead cross functional teams on small to large technical projects for GTC solutions to complete deliverables including: coordinating, organizing, planning and scheduling, communicating, tracking accountability, ensuring documentation, monitoring and evaluating, problem solving and technical assistance

- Lead discussions with key stakeholders in story definition assisting the team with clarification, estimates, story sequencing and team objectives for program increments

- Monitor and report costs to ensure timely and appropriate generation of project information

- Lead discussions regarding project objectives and deliverables with the project team to ensure understanding and acceptance of work assignments

- Prepares Steering Committee collateral and facilitates weekly meetings to include status updates, identification and analysis of risks or decisions to be made

- Simultaneously work with multiple, diverse projects and activities

- Non-standard work hours may be required on occasion

- BA/BS Degree required

- 5 years of strong SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) and/or OCR EASE technical and business area knowledge required

- 5 years of solid project management experience utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

- Proven Software Systems experience

- Proven understanding of database applications, system development, report writing and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas

- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently

- Good communication and listening skills with strong attention to detail

- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

- A desire to be proactive rather than reactive

- Must have ability to interact with all levels and work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimum supervision

- US Person status is required: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status
