The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager ensures Luxottica brands are strategically positioned and presented in the most brand enhancing way in order to achieve defined business objectives established by the Marketing Department and are consistent with Luxottica\u2019s goals, guidelines and objectives. The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager aids in the development and execution of account specific trade marketing plans.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager to develop and execute in-store events/programs designed to drive business by account, including sales contests, holiday promotions, seasonal events, etc.
Ensures availability of appropriate trade materials, displays and other POP materials for the field sales team.
Supports Trade Marketing Manager in the development of various marketing materials for the field sales force (i.e. training manuals, sales brochures, etc.).
Tracks competitive activity, category issues, retail environment and provides feedback to internal resources.
3 years of marketing experience
Understanding of field/trade marketing activities
Basic knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize and handle additional responsibilities as required and assigned
Basic understanding of budgeting, cost estimating and fiscal management principles and procedures
Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
Ability to maintain a professional relationship and line of communication with all business contacts, sales force and customers
Ability to travel domestically (minimum of one retail visit every quarter)
BA/BS in Marketing, Business or Sales is
