nnJob DescriptionnSummary Statement:nProvides leadership and performs functions associated with the Environmental, Health & Safety and Trade Compliance programs/activities of Teledyne Marine facilities in the Houston, Texas area.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nnEnvironmental, Health & SafetynnPlan, perform, and lead work in a variety of Environmental, Health, and Safety activities including EHS program development, EHS inspections, EHS related training, loss prevention/risk management, EHS data collection and reporting, workers compensation administration, and emergency response programs.nServe as the primary point of contact for all EHS related matters in the organization.nReview, develop, and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.nLead, perform, and document job safety analyses.nEnsure processes are in place to gather/collect data required for EHS reporting (internally and externally).nDevelop, schedule, conduct, and document safety reviews and inspections.nDevelop, perform, document, and track EHS training/testing to meet OSHA, EPA, and internal EHS training requirements. Training activities may be one-on-one sessions as well as in small or large group sessions.nDevelop and maintain documentation in support of EHS activities.nLead and coordinate EHS committees at each facility.nCollect and maintain data for EHS reporting requirements, including filing of reports in accordance with federal, state, local, and internal requirements.nPrepare and submit EHS required reports – internal and external.nPerform workers compensation program administration (conduct accident investigations, root cause analysis, and prepares/implements corrective and preventive actions, reporting, etc.).nCoordinate emergency response systems and teams.nAdminister change management associated with processes, equipment, chemicals, and facilities.nParticipate in EHS programs, training, audits, and activities associated with other Teledyne business as required.nPerform all other duties requested, directed, or assigned.nnnTrade CompliancennEnsure effective export compliance at the Teledyne Marine Seismic group in accordance with U.S export laws and regulations and Teledyne Technologies corporate export compliance program and policies;nDetermine trade data such as: HTS, ECCN, Country of Origin, trade preference program qualification, product codes, import/export documentation requirements and valuation of products; nWork with internal and external customers/vendors, freight forwarders/customs brokers, government agencies and other functional areas to ensure compliance of imports and exports;nDevelop, implement, enhance and maintain trade compliance systems, policies, department procedures and work instructions, including customs and import compliance, ITAR and EAR classification jurisdiction; licensing and administration; denied party, proliferation and diversion screening; technology transfers; deemed exports; export documentation; anti-boycott reporting; recordkeeping; audits and training; and import requirements;nPrepare and submit license applications, technical assistance agreements and other requests for license and approval to the State Department and Commerce Department; administer export licensing program and ensure compliance with conditions and reporting requirements;nConduct licensing reviews for technology transfers, including marketing materials, proposals and engineering data; develop and maintain technology transfer programs in accordance with regulatory and license requirements;nInterface directly with the State Department, the Commerce Department, Customs and Border Protection and other U.S government agencies, as directed by the Teledyne Technologies Corporate Trade Compliance Team;nAct as trade compliance liaison to sales representative, distributors, customers and other third parties, as required;nConduct regular export and import compliance training for senior management, shipping, sales and marketing and other functions involved in international business;nConduct periodic audits and self-audits and implement corrective action, as required; may assist in periodic audits of other Teledyne facilitiesnAssist the Teledyne Corporate Legal Department with investigations of any incidents of purported non-compliance with export laws and regulations;nPerforms all other duties requested, directed, or assignednnnnnnJob RequirementsnEducation and Experience:nnBachelor’s Degree in related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.n5 years relevant hands-on EHS experience including leadership and training experience.n3 years relevant hands-on Trade Compliance experience including leadership and training experience.nnnJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:nnExtensive working knowledge of safety and environmental requirements/compliance in a manufacturing environment.nExtensive working knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and Import regulations.nProven analytical, problem solving, training, and leadership skills.nMath skills sufficient to perform calculations related to EHS data collection and report preparation.nComputer competencies in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP and other software programs as needed.nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.nExcellent presentation skills.nAbility to read and understand regulatory documents related to the functions of the position.nAbility to prioritize high impact activities.n
