Prepares, submits, and administers U.S. Government licenses (e.g., DSP-5/61/73, TAA/MLA, and BIS-748P) other authorizations (i.e., ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions)
Files Electronic Export Information (EEI) via Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
Performs export authority and compliance reviews
Administers export compliance reviews of foreign national visits and employments
Administers Technology Control Plans
Provides Customs entry and export instructions to freight forwarders and customs brokers
Assesses, strengthens and streamlines GA ITC program and procedures
Maintains im/export transactional records
Administers im/export procedures, manuals and database
Provides im/export compliance guidance to various functional departments: Business Development, Contracts, Human Resources, Program Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Law, and Security.
Supports post-audit & assessment corrective action follow-up verification
Creates management reports and metrics of im/export activities
Conducts commodity jurisdictions and classifications (e.g., HTSUS, USML, and CCL)
Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Law or related field and three or more years of progressively complex experience in a trade (im/export) compliance role or one or more years of progressively complex experience in a trade (im/export) compliance role with a Master's degree.
Experience in a multinational corporation in Aerospace & Defense industry.
Experience in administering U.S. export/import laws & regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, OFAC, NRC, DOE, FTSR, and CBP).
Experience in D-Trade or OCR EASE, and SNAP-R.
Working knowledge in Export Control Reform.\u00a0
Experience managing and tracking projects that are moderate in scope.
U.S. Customs Broker License preferred.
Master's degree (in business, engineering, law, or a related field) is preferred.
Solid writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
Solid interpersonal skills.
Experience in process improvements.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
